For the worldwide launch of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, we teamed up with Paramount Pictures to create a stunning hyper-realistic, anamorphic 3D billboard that immerses viewers in the fantastical world of the game. The OOH campaign debuted in the bustling district of Shinjuku, Japan, then expanded to 15 international locations including Korea, China, Germany, Australia, New York, Mexico, and the United Kingdom—captivating global audiences with its sheer scale and innovation.
Working with 3D creature assets from MPC and drawing inspiration from the movie trailer’s aesthetic, we pitched two concepts, complete with storyboards, to showcase the film’s main dragon, Themberchaud. We meticulously designed around varying screen constraints to ensure a seamless action-packed visual in every region. In the final animation, Themberchaud bursts through a dungeon-styled brick wall, sending debris flying before unleashing a raging inferno that engulfs the entire display. By blending cinematic flair and cutting-edge VFX, this larger-than-life activation pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in 3D billboard technology, bringing the magic of Dungeons & Dragons to life like never before.
