Exploring the Latest AI-Driven 3D Design and Animation Techniques
Throughout the last 2-3 years, we’ve been experimenting with various AI platforms to stay on top of the ever-evolving 3D design and animation landscape. These tools have introduced fascinating possibilities for rapid concept development and fresh creative sparks. While we’ve incorporated AI into a handful of in-house and client projects to see how it might augment our workflow, we’re still very much in the exploration phase—treating these technologies as helpful resources rather than core drivers of our work.
AI has also proven invaluable for creating animated visuals, generating merchandise mockups, assisting with pitching and previsualization, and exploring offbeat creative ideas that ignite fresh inspiration. One of its most incredible benefits is the ability to provide programming and coding assistance, helping us refine workflows and solve complex tasks more efficiently. This rapid prototyping and iteration have allowed us to experiment more freely and fine-tune our concepts before diving into full production, saving both time and resources without sacrificing innovation.
One key takeaway so far is that, despite the efficiency and speed offered by these advanced tools, they lack the subtle nuances that come from genuine human creativity and emotion. AI-generated images, animations, or designs can look remarkable, but they don’t always capture that deeper, personal touch. We don’t see AI replacing human talent in 3D design outright, but it’s definitely shaking up the industry. Our position is clear: AI should be embraced as a collaborative tool—one that can enhance our craft, not overshadow it.
Moving forward, we’re excited to continue researching and experimenting with these emerging technologies, ensuring we remain at the forefront of innovation while honoring the artistic integrity that defines our work. By staying curious and open to new possibilities, we aim to evolve alongside the tools and shape the future of 3D design.
